Art Nouveau vs. Art Deco In-Person
This new talk by Don Hall was inspired by TV’s Jeopardy where the contestants were shown a photo of an Art Nouveau Tiffany glass window, and were then asked to identify the style of art. One contestant incorrectly said, "Art Deco” while the other two didn’t have a clue. Art Nouveau was “hot” mostly in Europe from 1895 to 1910. Art Deco has a very different look and was popular in Europe and the U.S. from about 1925 to 1940. Don's program has dozens of visuals of the two styles along with wonderful examples of Art Deco architecture in Rochester. No registration required.
