Effective Communication with Dementia In-Person

Explore how dementia can affect a person’s ability to express themselves at our next class in the Alzheimer’s community education series. We will learn helpful strategies for communicating with someone who has memory loss and who may no longer be able to understand complex concepts. This program will take place in the Kate Gleason Auditorium on the 1st Floor. It is a free event, but registration is requested in order to help us better prepare for the program.

If you would like to attend this class and need someone to stay at home with your loved one who has dementia, you may call the Alzheimer's Association at 1-800-272-3900 to arrange for in-home respite care during the class. Please give at least one week’s notice.
