Artist at Work: Shon Davis (painting) In-Person
Shon Davis is a contemporary visual artist whose works focus on texture, color, and the expression of the human face. There is often a three-dimensional quality to her vibrant and detailed work, which invites the viewer into a more tactile experience of her paintings. Using charcoal and acrylic paint, she renders textures in both abstract and realistic subjects. An active figure in the Rochester art community, she teaches art classes at the Creative Wellness Coalition in Rochester's Neighborhood of the Arts. As a member of the Art Factory Collective, she collaborates with a team of area artists to exhibit monthly during First Friday Rochester events.
