Bosnian Immigrants: Opportunities and Challenges in the Greater Rochester Area In-Person

Aiša Purak was born in a small, beautiful village called Jastrebac in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a refugee, she came to Rochester and started working with the Bosnian community, primarily with women and children. Aiša will talk about her experiences and her book Bosnian Immigrants, a study of 100 Bosnian families who immigrated to Rochester and found a way to adapt to life in a new society. No registration required.
