Got Health: High Blood Pressure In-Person
Please join us for a special edition of Got Health , where we'll learn all about high blood pressure, why people have it, how to avoid it, and ways to get it under control! Our speaker is Dr. Hugo Alvarez, a preventive medicine resident at University of Rochester Medical Center. He will discuss what the systolic and diastolic numbers mean, risk factors for high blood pressure, how it affects your health over time, and how it can be treated.
No registration is required for this health talk. Just show up, bring your lunch, or grab one of the light snacks provided. There will also be a free raffle drawing at the end of the class, with prizes provided by our partners at the Center for Community Health & Prevention.
