Animals of the RPD! In-Person
Did you know animals are an important part of keeping our community safe? Come meet the animals of the Rochester Police Department and learn how they help their human partners do their job!
Duncan, a horse from the mounted patrol, and Sully, a bomb sniffing dog, will be on site. Officers will discuss training, a typical day, as well as a demonstrations and question and answer time.
Duncan will be in the Doris Carlson Reading Garden from 11 am to noon. Sully's presentation will be in the Kate Gleason Auditorium from noon to 1p.m. For those apprehensive around dogs, Sully will be restrained on a leash.
