Dementia Conversations In-Person

Conversations with family members who are showings signs of dementia can be challenging and uncomfortable. The fear or lack of awareness that may accompany these conversations can result in delays that have serious consequences for the entire family. Please join us for a free workshop presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Rochester and Finger Lakes Region Chapter. You will learn tips on how to have honest and caring conversations about:

  • Going to the doctor
  • When to stop driving
  • Making legal and financial plans

Registration is strongly suggested; please use the link below, or call the Science & History Division at (585) 428-8110. You may also call the Alzheimer’s Association at 1-800-272-3900 to register or to arrange for free in-home respite care for a loved one with dementia while you attend the workshop. Please give at least one week’s advance notice for this service.
