Overdose Prevention and the Opioid Crisis In Monroe County
Marielena Vélez de Brown, MD, MPH, the Deputy Commissioner of Public Health for the Monroe County Department of Public Health, will be presenting on addiction, the effects of opioids on the body, how to identify an overdose and how to administer the overdose reversal medication, Naloxone. Those attending will take home a Naloxone kit. Free program, but, registration is required, 624-6067.
