Penfield Library is holding a series of films recalling World War II and its memorable moments.
DARKEST HOUR

During the earliest stages of World War II, the fate of Western Europe hangs on the newly appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who must decide whether to negotiate with Hitler or fight against incredible odds. The film, directed by Joe Wright, won two Academy Awards for Best Picture and Gary Oldman won for best performance by an actor in a leading role. It also stars Lily James and Kristin Scott Thomas. REGISTRATION is recommended and begins on Thursday, May 24.
