American Creed: Community Conversations Panel Discussion In-Person

American Creed: Community Conversations investigates the idea of a unifying American creed. Part two of the Community Conversation will take place Wednesday, April 17th at 7p.m. Facilitated by Dr. Timothy Kneeland, chair of the history department at Nazareth College, a panel will further discuss the themes presented in the documentary film American Creed. Panelists include:

  • Julie Philip - Democrat & Chronicle
  • Huber Van Tol - Pathstone

Part one of the Community Conversation will be a viewing and discussion around the PBS documentary American Creed facilitated by Beth Adams of WXXI on Saturday, April 13th at 1pm. In the documentary, former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David M. Kennedy come together from different points of view to investigate the idea of a unifying American creed. Their spirited inquiry frames the stories of citizen-activists striving to realize their own visions of America’s promise across deepening divides.
