Introduction to Blogging In-Person

Do you know a lot about a topic and want to share your expertise? Blogging is a great way to do that. Learn the basics of blogging, including writing a mission statement for your blog; composing an effective blog and headline; and using social media and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to attract followers. Please note that this class focuses on content, not on the technical how-to's of launching a blog on the web. Space is limited and registration is required.

Jane Sutter is an award-winning journalist with more than 30 years of experience in writing, editing, blogging, and managing at newspapers, magazines and web sites. She spent 13 years in top leadership roles at the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester. Her business, Sutter Communications, provides a variety of services, including writing, editing, book publishing, and public relations. Jane is the author of the book Sutter's Sodas Satisfy: A Memoir of 90 Years of Sutter Drug Co. You can read Jane's two blogs at http://www.suttermedia.net/blog/ and https://suttercommunications.wordpress.com/.
