After "I Do": Perspectives on Marriage in Literature - A Reading & Discussion Series In-Person

This reading & discussion series will explore short works reflecting a range of perspectives on marriage by such great American writers as Robert Frost, Kay Boyle, James Thurber, Raymond Carver, Tobias Wolff, and Sherman Alexie. No “outside” work is required. All written selections for each session will be provided at each session and read aloud in the group. Come prepared to read and discuss with a small and welcoming group of fellow readers and thinkers.

Facilitator, David Sanders, is Professor Emeritus of English at St. John Fisher College. He has taught British, American, and biblical literature in a career that spans more than forty years. Though widely published in professional journals and still active as a scholar, he has always enjoyed getting beyond the academic classroom to promote literary discussion with readers in the wider community.

Free and open to the public. Space is limited and registration is required. Please contact Carol Moldt at Carol.Moldt@libraryweb.org or 428-8375 for more information.
