Aging and Engaging: Social Connections and Healthy Aging In-Person
Aging and Engaging: tips for staying connected throughout our lives. This talk will offer information about why social connections are important at all ages over time, community resources to overcome barriers, and tools to stay connected.
Our presenters: Dr. Kim Van Orden, is a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the U of R School of Medicine and Denistry. She provides psychotherapy to older adults and conducts research studies to learn about helpful ways to increase social connectedness. April Buttaccio, is a Clinical Research Associate and has a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Rochester.
