Planting & Caring for a New Native Pollinator Garden: Session B

Planting & Caring for a New Native Pollinator Garden: Session B In-Person

*Registration is open*

Session B: Saturdays, May 6 & 13, 9:30-11:00 AM

For Adults

You must attend both classes in the session you choose. This class will give you the knowledge on how to start, plant, and care for a new native pollinator garden the first year it is put in. We will review preparing your garden site, how to test and amend the soil, and remove grass in an ecologically friendly way. We’ll cover proper planting techniques and care as your plants establish this first year. This class also has a component of community building where those who wish to can meet periodically after the class ends for support on how their garden is growing and help with the new community pollinator garden.

These meetings will be held in the Senior Room and there is an option for those that want to get together outside of class at participants’ gardens after the class is finished. A group sharing for those that want to stay connected.

Co-sponsored with Penfield Recreation and Friends of Penfield Public Library.
