The Little Rock Crisis of 1957

The Little Rock Crisis of 1957 In-Person

The Brown v. Board of Education case of 1954 called for the desegregation of schools. In the Fall of 1957, the high school in Little Rock, Arkansas would begin that process by admitting nine African American students that school year. What resulted was a year of resistance, intolerance, and ultimately hope. Come learn about one of the major events of civil rights history with Mark Sample, professor of History at MCC. Sponsored by Friends of BML.
