Tracking Animals in your Neighborhood In-Person

Be a nature detective!     Volunteer naturalist Jackie Bakker from Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge will share how you can find out what animals were in your back yard when you weren’t watching. She is presenting a program entitled Tracking Animals in your Neighborhood at the Winton Branch Library at 11am on Wednesday, February 22 to share how to tell the difference between a squirrel’s footprint and a rabbit’s or other animal’s. This interactive program will include a story, a game or two, and a craft that will engage elementary school aged children. There’s no need to register, and we have plenty of supplies so bring along the whole neighborhood – of kids – please leave the wildlife home. For more information call the Winton Library at 428-8204.
