Meet Marie Benedict, the New York Times bestselling author of eight works of historical fiction including The Only Woman in the Room, The Mystery of Mrs. Christie, The Personal Librarian, and The Mitford Affair. A lawyer with more than ten years’ experience, Ms. Benedict found her calling in unearthing the hidden historical stories of women. Her mission is to excavate from the past the most important, complex, and fascinating women of history and bring them into the light of present-day, where we can perceive the breadth of their contributions as well as the insights they bring to modern-day issues.

This lecture will be followed by an audience Q & A and a book signing. Light refreshments will be served during the book signing. You are welcome to bring your own copy for Marie to sign or to purchase a copy at the event from local book vendor Book Culture.

The event will be available for live streaming beginning at 7 PM on August 15.
