Three-Dimensional Bookbinding: Pop-Up Books In-Person
Do you like to fold and cut paper? Those are the basic skills students need to be able to construct accordions, tunnels, business cards, and carousel books. Think of a book as a stage; we can look
through and into these books for three-dimensional effects. We’ll also have an overview of pop-up books and how to incorporate the basic techniques into your finished pieces. Choose your favorite Japanese paper for your book covers, try some new intricate folding methods, and glue it all together. These book forms may be just what you need to convey your message more directly. Please bring your xacto knife and healing mat if you have them. If not, that is okay since all materials will be provided by the instructor, Laura Jackett. Registration is requested due to limited space.
