Intro to Birding In-Person
An educator from Monroe Cooperative Extension will teach us how to identify birds in our community by looking for characteristics such as size, color, and markings, while using bird guides and identification apps such as Merlin. Learn how to properly use binoculars to spot your local feathered friends by creating and decorating a practice pair of your own from recycled materials. We will also discover what different types of birds eat by exploring the different types of bird beaks in a fun, hands-on activity. For ages 12 and under.
