Life of the Seneca In-Person
Take a trip back in time to the 1600s to see how the Seneca people constructed bark longhouses and lived in them.
Come to the Winton Branch Library at 11am on Wednesday July 12 to learn about the culture of the Haudenosaunee people. The presenters will bring a variety of items commonly found in longhouses such as furs, felt hats, bone tools, cornhusk, and trade items. People of all ages will enjoy learning about the Seneca people, how they lived in the olden times, and how they live in our area today. There’s no need to register for this free program, and there will be plenty of space, so bring along a friend or two. For more information call the Winton Library at 428-8204
