Seasons of Rush Calendar Workshop In-Person
The Rush Library and the Rush Historical Society are partnering for an ongoing photo contest starting this year; it’s a fundraiser led by professional photographer and RHS co-president Janet Cruz. We are encouraging residents to take photos of Rush throughout the year, culminating in a Seasons of Rush Calendar showcasing the best submissions voted on by the community. We will have seasonal photo submission deadlines, in-person and online voting, and the photos will become part of the Rush historical record. There is a kickoff workshop on Sunday, June 11th from 1:00-2:00 PM at the William Udicious Pavilion. Janet will give photography tips and tricks, the contest rules, photo release forms, and light refreshments. The presentation will cover basic photography rules as well as tips for taking better photos. We will cover basic lighting, composition and camera usage. Come get involved in preserving Rush history for generations to come!
