Better Hearing, Better Living In-Person
This hour-long session includes an overview presentation on all programs the Hearing Loss Association of America, Rochester chapter offers. We also discuss the extent of hearing loss in our society, how we hear, and the need for individuals to address their hearing loss. Then, a quick introduction to our Demo Center of assistive listening devices, both in person and on our website. And, finally, the recent introduction of over-the-counter hearing aids. Plenty of time is provided for questions. An express hearing check kiosk is also available for individuals to gain perspective on how well they are hearing.
The Hearing Loss Association of America, Rochester chapter provides friendly support to deal with the challenges of hearing loss, education on how to cope when living with hearing aids and assistive devices, and advocacy to create more hearing friendly environments. Also, tips to consider when buying over-the-counter hearing aids. HLAA-Rochester, an all-volunteer 501C3 non-profit founded in 1983, offers all services free of charge.
