Art Therapy: Create Personal Art that Helps You De-Stress

Art Therapy: Create Personal Art that Helps You De-Stress In-Person

Artwork For the Soul Art Class

Rachel Ortiz, was a Soldier diagnosed with PTSD, and art has helped her tremendously. By putting what you feel on canvas you create a healing that can be seen and truly felt in the soul, and this takes you to another level of de-stressing. You don't need to be an artist or have any artistic training to take this class

Her goal is to have students really enjoy creating and learn how art can be used to create PMA (Positive Mental attitude). To engage the students, she will discuss what art means to them, how PMA is something that can be attained, and how art helps with that. Ortiz will introduce the different mediums you can use to create. She will provide acrylics, metallic color markers, and acrylic markers. They will also have items such as seashells, colored beads, feathers, and other items to create unique designs. You can also bring things that have special meaning to you.
