Museum-Quality Storage for Photos & Memorabilia

Museum-Quality Storage for Photos & Memorabilia In-Person

In this presentation, you will review a framework for planning your archival storage, learn about the science behind archival materials, and explore museum standards that you can apply to storing your own photographs, family documents, and family heirlooms. There will be time for Q&A and to examine archival storage samples.

Kate Jacus, a Rochester native, is the Preservation Specialist for Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York, an organization that provides collections management training and resources to institutions in the state. She started The Photo Curator (www.thephotocurator.com) in 2016, offering photo-organizing services to families. Kate's love of organizing and expertise in archival storage stems from her Master's in Museum Studies and her career in the museum world, including eight years as Collections Manager at The Strong.
