NASA's Missions to Mars In-Person
NASA has been sending missions to Mars for over 50 years, and now is exploring the Red Planet for possible signs of life in preparation for sending astronauts as soon as 2030. Today, the cameras of Curiosity and Perseverance are exploring the Marian landscape, collecting samples and paving the way for “Boots On Mars.”
Join NASA Ambassador Jim Porter to discover what scientists are learning from these robotic missions. These rovers are the most powerful mobile science laboratories ever deployed.
Jim Porter worked for over two decades as an aerospace engineer in several states, including Jet Propulsion Laboratories in Pasadena, CA. His presentations are popular, engaging and easy to listen to for all levels.
