Saturday, April 13, 10:30 AM-Noon
For Adults
HLAA-Rochester is returning for a third visit to discuss how individuals and families can better cope with hearing loss. Topics covered include: long-term effects of unattended hearing loss, hearing loss and dementia, lowering TV volume, captioning on smartphones, low-cost assistance to those without hearing aids, and tips if buying over-the-counter hearing aids. A brief overview on all programs HLAA-Rochester offers will cap off the session. Bring your questions! An Express Hearing Check Kiosk is also available for individuals to gain perspective on how well they are hearing. HLAA-Rochester, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1983, offers all services free of charge.
