Friday Adventures with Words - Because Etymology

Friday Adventures with Words - Because Etymology In-Person

Interested in words?  Join Mrs. Phil Ology each Friday throughout Summer Reading.  She'll work with kids, teens and adults to break down words, discuss their origins and even journal on important connections. Participants will INVESTIGATE the HISTORY of words and how they have EVOLVED.  She always has at least three words that come with her to “show and tell." One word for the child in you, one for "Wow," and the other for depth of history as she usually takes each word back beyond Webster into all Proto beginning, and if possible, back to pictographs when available. Mrs. Phil Ology has a gentle hold on ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs so she can sometimes throw that in for interest. This will be fun for all ages.  Show up for one class or come to all.  Kindly reserve your seat.
