The Hamlin Public Library will be closed the day of the eclipse. To enjoy the eclipse in a local setting, the Hamlin Recreation Department will be holding an outdoor event with family friendly activities to commemorate this special occasion in the field behind the Hamlin Town Hall.

When viewing the eclipse, remember to have appropriate eye protection (official eclipse glasses that "comply with the transmittance requirements of the ISO 12312-2 international standard"**) to avoid serious eye injury. Eclipse glasses will be made available to the public at the Hamlin Library after our eclipse presentation on March 20th, 2024.
