Celebrate AAPI month by learning Kathak, one of the seven Indian classical dance styles that originated in the north of India. Kathak is also a storyteller’s art which is known for its fast-paced movements, footwork, pirouettes, and compositions based on the syllables from percussive instruments. Dr. Rupa Kalahasthi, a clinical psychologist by profession, is exposing the Rochester community to this traditional art while providing a sneak peek into Indian culture and storytelling.
