Shipwrecks of Lake Ontario In-Person
Please join Jim Kennard as he takes you on his personal journey and underwater exploration of some of the most noteworthy shipwrecks discovered in Lake Ontario. Jim will share stories gathered over 50 years while researching and finding the most historically significant shipwrecks in our Great Lakes. These include the 1780 British warship HMS Ontario and the sloop Washington lost in 1803. Underwater images and video of these tragic ships will help to reveal their stories.
His groundbreaking book Shipwrecks of Lake Ontario – A Journey of Discovery, which includes Jim’s discoveries as well as those of his shipwreck peers, will be available for sale at the presentation.
