Travelogue: Remembering D Day and the Island of Guernsey During World Word II In-Person
June 4th marks the 80th anniversary of D Day. Join retired librarian Christine Simons, as she explores the beaches in Normandy, some of its museums in memory of D Day, surrounding French towns, and the English Channel Island of Guernsey, and its role in World War ll. Lastly, we will honor some of America's fallen men, by seeing the American Cemetery on the cliffs of Normandy. An American symbolic piece of music will accompany this tribute.
