Fairy House Exhibit at the Central Library In-Person

The Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County will be hosting an exhibit featuring fairy houses created by the community from April 3 - June 28, 2025

Prizes of $50 gift cards to Gallea’s Greenhouse will be given to the winners in 4 categories!

Open to all ages. Free to enter.

• No entry fee.

• Register Now! The deadline for registration is March 14, 2025.

Fairy houses must be delivered by March 21, 2025, to the Rundel Memorial Building of the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County, 115 South Ave., Rochester, NY.

• There is no size limitation.

• Fairy house must stand on its own and should be mounted on a cardboard or wood base.

• Must be made of natural, up-cycled/recycled, preserved, or dried materials; can include paper.

• Fairy houses will be displayed indoors in the Anthony Mascioli Gallery at the Central Library.

• The house's theme can be anything you wish, please include a brief narrative about your house that tells us who lives there and what’s special about it.

• Please have your name, the name of your fairy house, your age if under 14, and your contact information on your house.

• Fairy house must be available for the exhibit until June 28, 2025.

• Please do not build a house for your child. Though reasonable assistance is fine, the ideas and primary construction should be their own.

• Likewise, children, please do not build the house for your adult!

• Fairy houses must be appropriate for public viewing.

There will be four prizes of $50 gift cards from Gallea’s Greenhouse, 2832 Clover St., Pittsford, NY in these categories:

      1) Best Children’s Entry (under 14 years of age)

      2) Best Adult Entry

      3) Best Story About Fairy House

      4) Most Whimsical Fairy House
