Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention

Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention In-Person

When many of us hear the phrase 'Human Trafficking', certain movies or news reports may come to mind, maybe we don't know what to think, or we try not to think about it at all because it’s too horrible.  But ignorance and incorrect information could cost someone we love their life, because the reality is, it's happening here and we need to know how to protect our children.

Human Trafficking is real and it is here!  It has become $150 billion a year industry; 1/3 takes place in the US, and New York State is one of the top destinations for human trafficking and abduction.

Please join us for a presentation that addresses the following information:

1) Reality of human trafficking, not just worldwide, but also specific to Rochester and the surrounding areas
2) Breaking stereotypes
3) Signs and symptoms of a grooming or trafficking situation,
4) What to do prevent -or- if you suspect trafficking
5) Info about other agencies that can help the trafficked person
6) Ways to get involved.
