My Grandfather’s Clocks Book Talk & Signing In-Person
*Registration is open*
Wednesday, October 16, 6:30-8:00 PM
For Adults
Local author Gregory Gerard Allison will discuss his new book My Grandfather’s Clocks: The True Story of a Grandson’s Search for an American Inventor’s Lost Collection (Rochester, NY, Big Brick Review, 2024). Allison tracks the hometown story of his late grandfather, East Rochester native Charley Allison, and his creation of twelve handcrafted Allison timepieces. Praised by Los Angeles-area celebrities including legendary jazz drummer Gene Krupa and The Maltese Falcon star Mary Astor, the collection was lost for nearly seventy years until, after five years of searching, his grandson rediscovered it in an unlikely place. Copies will be available for purchase and signing.
