The Election of 1964 In-Person
In November of 1963, Lyndon B. Johnson became President after JFK's assassination. A year later in 1964, he was running for re-election against Barry Goldwater.
Goldwater is one of the people responsible for beginning the modern Conservative movement in America. LBJ is one of the people who began, what some people call, the modern welfare state.
Come hear MCC professor of history Mark Sample tell the story of that election & the people involved. This is the last in his four-part series on LBJ, so you won't want to miss it!
