Picturing Loss: Art and Bereavement In-Person / Online
- On November 20th, Joyce will lead an informal presentation about how she and famous artists express grief through painting. She will offer a discussion of Lee Krasner’s painting following Jackson Pollock’s untimely death, along with artists Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, and others. This special workshop is inspired by Joyce’s loss of her brother as a teenager and the discovery of an enormous strength she found through art. Participants are welcome to share or observe. Have drawing supplies on hand if you wish to complete an art exercise.
