A Death Cafe: Talking About Death, Celebrating Life! Hosted by Jennifer Sanfilippo

A Death Cafe: Talking About Death, Celebrating Life! Hosted by Jennifer Sanfilippo In-Person

The purpose of a Death Café is to bring the taboo subject of death out into the open. A Death Cafe is a confidential, group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a discussion group rather than grief support or a counselling session.

The objective is “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.” The non-profit organization supporting the movement to create space for these conversations is internationally known. Volunteer facilitators have been hosting Death Cafés around the world since 2011.
