The Tuskegee Airmen: A Rochester Connection

The Tuskegee Airmen: A Rochester Connection In-Person

On April 21st, 1945, Tuskegee Airman Leland "Sticky" Pennington took off on a flight in his P-51 Mustang named 'Lucy Gal'. World War II was drawing near a close, but his services as a bomber escort pilot were still sorely needed. En route to the mission, this Rochester pilot went missing in action, and he has never been found. His story, however, is still flying. Please join Austin Hancock for this illuminating history on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00 PM in the library. Please register in advance for this event.
