Lost Redtail: The Mission to Honor a Local Tuskegee Airman In-Person
On April 21st, 1945, Tuskegee Airman and Rochester native Leland "Sticky" Pennington took off on a flight in his P-51 Mustang 'Lucy Gal.' World War II was drawing near a close, but his services as a bomber escort pilot were still sorely needed. En route to the mission, the pilot went missing in action, and he has never been found. His story, however, is still flying.
Join us to learn to learn all about our local connection to the Tuskegee Airmen, and keep the story of Sticky alive!
