Rush Readers’ Book Club In-Person
In April we will be reading The Agitators, by Dorothy Wickenden, which examines major events of the mid-19th century from the intimate perspective of three friends and neighbors in Auburn, New York. You will meet Harriet Tubman, Martha Coffin Wright, and Frances A. Seward, the “agitators” of the title, who advocated for women’s rights and the abolition of slavery as the country split apart. Join us for discussion and dessert on Thursday, May 1st in the library at 7:00 PM. Please register in advance.
