Joan of Arc In-Person
How did an illiterate 17-year-old farmgirl take command of a defeated and demoralized army and lead it to battlefield victory? Historian Steve Richey answers precisely this question on Thursday, May 8th at 7:00 PM in the library. Steve is the author Joan of Arc: Warrior Saint; his presentation includes a travelogue following Joan’s path across France. You will learn about Joan’s remarkable character traits and the unique circumstances that enabled her to achieve what seemed to be impossible: emerging from utter obscurity to freeing her homeland from foreign domination. Limited seating is available; please register in advance.
