Rochester Reads! Keynote livestreamed

Rochester Reads! Keynote livestreamed In-Person

Join us on Thursday, October 9th at 7:00 PM to watch the Rochester Reads! Keynote livestreamed from the Memorial Art Gallery. This program is offered in partnership with Rochester Reads!, an annual city-wide tradition created by Writers & Books in 2001 that inspires readers to connect to one another through the shared experience of literature. This year's selection is Soil: The Story of a Black Mother's Garden by Camille T. Dungy. When Dungy moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2013, the community held restrictions about what residents could and could not plant in their gardens. She recounts her odyssey to diversify her garden in this “heartfelt and thoroughly enchanting tribute to family and community. Dungy shows us how to tend a garden, and how to tend a full and fragrant life” says author Aimee Nezhukumatathil. Please register in advance.
