Death Cafe - Talking about death, celebrating life! In-Person
Death Cafés are gatherings held all over the world for the purpose of bringing death out of the taboo closet. It might sound morbid at first, but cafés give people a chance to talk about this important topic that every one of us will at some time experience. It has long been taught by many spiritual teachers that the more we recognize, accept and incorporate the reality of death, the more precious and vivid our lives become. Join us for this special program, and be surprised at how naturally these conversations turn toward reflections on what makes life joyful and meaningful!
Presenter: Jennifer Sanfilippo, MBA (she/her) is a grief and bereavement counselor, end-of-life community educator, and the author of “Our Last Walk Home: Love, Cancer, and the Agony of Letting Go.” For more information, read Jennifer's short essay on why she hosts Death Cafes, or check out her website.
