The Life of Sandra Day O'Connor: First Female Justice of the Supreme Court In-Person
The first woman nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court, Sandra Day O'Connor, was raised on a ranch in Arizona. This upbringing helped to develop her confidence and self-assurance when she reached the Supreme Court. Growing up in an America where most women were expected to become a housewife, O'Connor instead became an important voice on the court. Join us to learn more about the powerful impact O'Connor had throughout her career with MCC Professor of History, Mark Sample.
