Mushroom Walk for Kids @ Mendon Ponds Park In-Person
Kids, Teens and Adults. Join Sam Warren from Food Forest Fungi for a mushroom identification walk and explore the beautiful woods of Mendon Ponds Park.
Join mycologist and educator Sam Warren for a special outing. Sam Warren has been a forager his whole life and an educator the last 6 Years. He’s a NYS guide and is also certified in wild mushroom safety. On this walk you’ll learn: Basic mushroom anatomy, identification techniques, and various species. Come explore!
The class is free and open to the public. Registration is required. We will meet at the Lower Parking Lot for Devils Bathtub at MPP. Dress for the weather.
