In the Monroe County Legislature Rick serves as Ranking Member on the Human Services Committee and a member of the Public Safety Committee. He has previously served as Assistant Majority Leader, Vice-Chair of the Public Safety Committee, and as a member of the Ways and Means Committee. 

In addition to the County Legislature, Rick serves as Mayor of the Village of Honeoye Falls. Prior to his service as Mayor, Rick served as a Village Trustee. Rick has a dedicated history of public service – a life member of the Honeoye Falls Fire Department and previously serving as a Medic for the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Volunteer Ambulance, currently serves as a member of the Session at the Honeoye Falls First Presbyterian Church, and current member of the NY Conference of Mayors Executive Board and Past President of the New York Conference of Mayors.
