From Nurseries to Neighborhoods: The History of the East Main-Culver Area

From Nurseries to Neighborhoods: The History of the East Main-Culver Area In-Person / Online

The East Main-Culver area of Southeast Rochester has a fascinating history. Originally part of the town of Brighton, the neighborhood was a nursery hub for many years before its pastoral farmlands were converted into residential tracts and manufacturing centers. Join us for this image-rich presentation as Geoffrey Zeiner—author of the award-winning blog Gonechester.com—takes us on a journey around the East Main and Culver area, from its nursery era through its development into an industrial extension of Rochester.
