Booked Solid: Book Discussion Group In-Person
*Registration is open*
Wednesday, January 21, 6:30-7:30 PM
For Adults
Join us monthly as PPL staff members take turns leading discussions of books chosen from a wide variety of genres and time periods. This month, join Katie as she leads a discussion about Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward, a historical fiction novel taking place in Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina. As the twelve days that make up the novel’s framework yield to their dramatic conclusion, this unforgettable family – motherless children sacrificing for one another as they can, protecting and nurturing where love is scarce – pulls itself up to face another day. Copies of the book are available six weeks prior to the meeting. Refreshments will be provided.
Program Accommodations
If you need accommodations to participate in any of our library's programs or events, please complete a request for accommodation or speak to a PPL staff member at (585) 340-8720 at least one week prior to the event. A staff member will reach out to you to confirm arrangements.
Thank you to our programs sponsor, Friends of the Penfield Public Library!
