DESCRIPTION:Join us for a pop-up book discussion in celebration of author\, 
 Brit Bennett's visit to our city to present for the Rochester Speakers 
 Series on April 21.  More details here. We are reading her bestseller from 
 2020\, The Vanishing Half: "The Vignes sisters will always be identical. 
 But after growing up together in a small\, southern black community and 
 running away at age sixteen\, it's not just the shape of their daily lives 
 that is different as adults\, it's everything\, including their racial 
 identities." We will discuss the book's themes of racial identity\, 
 family\, and the impact of the past.\n\nRegistrants will be entered into a 
 drawing to win tickets to hear Brit Bennett speak in Rochester on April 21 
 or a signed copy of one of her bestsellers\, courtesy of the Rochester 
 Speakers Series.\n\n
