Art in Action: Virtual Tour and Workshop In-Person / Online
Free Art Lessons: Joyce Raimondo, Education Coordinator with the Pollock-Krasner House & Study Center, provides an art history lesson plus a workshop during each of her sessions, along with encouraging and critical feedback of your work. You can watch via ZOOM inside the library or at home for these events. *Please register in advance for each class and have paper, pencils or watercolor/acrylic paints & brushes with you, whether attending in-person or via Zoom. Your Zoom link will be sent on the day of each class, so check your email & spam folder.
· How do action painters Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, and others express movement in their groundbreaking abstract expressionist art? Following a presentation featuring action painters, tour the barn studio where Pollock and Krasner created their masterpieces. Then working virtually alongside Joyce Raimondo, capture your movement as you create your own action painting. Have supplies on hand: paint supplies, sticks, a surface for your painting larger than 18 x 24 inches on Wednesday, January 14that 2:00 PM.
